"Turtle song" depicts images of raindrops, clouds, vegetation and happiness. These are all things that are in a Hopi farmer's prayer. Hues of red, blue, yellow and white are representations of cardinal directions and rainstorms that we as dryland farmers yearn for to nourish the motherlands.
